Dr. Dave Phillips presented the principles on which Trevecca has
built its distance learning program. Connect (Sakai) is the platform used for fully online courses, face to face course support, and hybrid design courses.

February 6, 2012 Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) and SACS preparation
Dr. Carol Maxson hosted the introduction of the QEP by the selection committee, Dr. Suzie Harris, chair, and the next steps for the implementation committee described by Dr. Lena Welch, chair. The selected QEP is titled, Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavors. A copy of the white paper outlining the QEP may be downloaded by clicking the link in the left-hand column.
Dr. Steve Pusey reported progress on the compliance review for SACS and described the timeline for completing the process.

February 3, 2012 Mobile Technologies: Maximizing their potential
The Spring Faculty Administrator Dinner meeting opened with a presentation on
developmental changes in computer hardware and software that has led to the mobile technologies (smart devices) we have today. Following dinner, 10 presenters set-up demonstrations of different technologies and participants engaged in dialog with presenters about college-level applications of the technologies.

The audio file contains Dr. Michael Vail's report on behalf of the General Education Committee. The report describes the assessment process process and results of items where criteria were not met.
Power Point slides include data from assessment and faculty response to additional questions used on two student learning outcomes and one attitudinal question about the General Education curriculum. The handout was a description of ETS Proficiency Profile proficiency levels for four learning skills.

The first audio file contains Dr. Carol Maxson's opening and announcements including the timeline for submitting student grades and an update on the QEP selection process.
The second audio file is the presentation by Amy Murphy, Coordinator of Disability Services. Download the PowerPoint slides and follow along as Amy describes the process for working with students with disabilities and common classroom accommodations which make courses accessible to these learners.
The presentation was only able to cover the basics characteristics of students with Autism and strategies for working with them. The handouts contain additional information and strategies for working with these students.
